An important lesson I have learnt: Focus on direction, not speed. The Strategy It’s better to climb slowly up the RIGHT mountain than to climb fast up the WRONG one! I’ve fallen into the speed trap on several occasions. Climbing as fast as I could, only to get to the top of the mountain and realise I climbed the wrong one... It’s a terrible feeling, one that can be avoided by focusing on direction first, speed second. The Action Step The Paradox of Speed says that sometimes you have to slow down to speed up. And the benefits of slowing down are extensive: • Be more deliberate with direction; • Focus on highest leverage opportunities; • Restore your energy; • Avoid burnout; • Notice things you previously missed; It is worth it to give it a try. Remember, your daily actions shape your identity and environment. Change is possible. Much love, Paolo
